Partner Profile: Florida Family Insurance

After the devastating storm Hurricane Andrew swept over Florida in 1992, the insurance business was left in a whirlwind too. While some companies fled the state or folded, Florida Family Insurance (FFI) was born. Determined to serve the needs of Florida homeowners, FFI grew quickly, filling a much needed gap amidst the turmoil. In 2004 and 2005, when another round of damaging storms wreaked havoc on properties, FFI utilized their experience to get customers back on track. We at Fudge Insurance are proud to have represented Florida Family Insurance for many years.

Partnering with FFI means an unparalleled level of financial security for our clients. One of the highest financially-rated Florida homeowner’s insurance companies, they are among a select few with an AM Best rating, the most highly regarded in the business. Another reason FFI rates financially strong is their conservative and strict investment policies. FFI carries an abundance of reinsurance which enables them to pay claims back quickly—enough to cover more than five Hurricane Charlies in one year.

FFI considers customer service as their top priority, which is a big part of the reason Fudge Insurance values their partnership. Sixty percent of their claims are settled during the first visit. Their representatives have the ability to handle claims directly, even writing checks on the spot to cover damages. One of our clients experienced this first hand when their claim was answered by FFI within two hours. The adjuster wrote a check to cover damages almost immediately when they arrived.

“We are Floridians ourselves—a corporate family protecting the families and homes of our clients,” FFI spokesperson Stephanie Limanti told us. Serving only Florida homeowners with a secure, customer-centered business model, FFI works with Fudge Insurance to provide for policy holders. Limanti believes Fudge Insurance follows the same high-values as FFI: integrity, honesty, fairness, and customer service. Now that’s a match made in Sunshine State heaven.
