How an AI assistant can request an insurance quote from us

Recently an email landed in our service inbox that a person clearly hadn’t written. A Central Florida condo owner who rents the place out on Airbnb had asked an AI assistant to find insurance agencies and request quotes, and it sent us and two other agencies the same long, carefully formatted request.

It asked for commercial property, general liability, loss of rental income, a note on how a new policy would fit with the condo association’s master policy, and a backup proposal in case the coverages had to be split. It left out the street address, which we need before we can quote anything. Nothing on our site told the assistant what an agency needs first, so it covered everything it could think of and missed the one detail that mattered.

How your assistant can send us a request

Assistants that reach fudgeinsurance.com can now find the questions our quote form asks and send their answers to us directly. If one leaves out something we need, like the address, it’s told right away and can ask you, instead of you finding out from a follow-up email.

An assistant that browses the web can fill in our quote page. One that connects to outside tools through MCP, an open standard several AI assistants support, can use our quote-request server at https://intake.fudgeinsurance.com/mcp. Instructions for both are at fudgeinsurance.com/llms.txt. You don’t need to know any of that yourself: just tell your assistant to send a quote request to Fudge Insurance at fudgeinsurance.com.

What happens to the request

Every request your assistant sends goes to a licensed agent here, the same as one from our form. Sending it doesn’t buy a policy or start any coverage. The assistant also has to confirm that you asked it to send the request, and we don’t accept one without that.

What gets you a quote sooner

The requests we can quote without coming back to you have the full street address with any unit number, say how the place is used (you live there, it’s a second home, or it’s rented long term or by the night), and include your current declarations page if you have one. The dec page shows what you’re covered for today, so we can compare like for like.

If you’d rather skip the assistant, use the quote request form or call us at 407-965-4168. And if you already have a policy and aren’t sure what it covers once you rent the place out, ask us for a coverage review.
